Have You Beenfunkd?
We live in a hectic world of machines and technology that have, for the most part, improved the speed in which work is performed today.
However, this fast paced process is causing good old customer service to be left behind.
How many times a day do you hear "nobody cares anymore"?
The trend is to perform a task as quickly as possible and with the least amount of cost to increase profits. Get in and get out!
Consequently work suffers. People get mad and it ends up costing twice as much to fix the problem.
Too often people just walk away, either refusing to pay or on the other end, not completing the job because all communication has been lost.
This site will alert you to the trends that will eventually form a pattern and possibly help you make up your mind on who you want to do business with in the future.
What Can I Do?
Beenfunkd was designed to record these misfortunes whether they are of a personal or business nature. As the information is gathered, the site will become a source of reference. The ultimate goal is to make others accountable for their actions, when there seems to be nowhere to turn. Unfortunately, the police department does not get involved in civil actions and hiring an attorney can be extremely drawn out and costly. The purpose of Beenfunkd is to provide a support system for everyone to benefit from.
How Does It Work?
As you record your information, the information will be displayed publically. A copy of your complaint will be sent directly to the individual/business you have written about, informing them of your allegations thus allowing them to voice their side of the story. The next time you consider hiring someone as an employee or as a contractor in your home, you can turn to Beefunkd to see if any complaints have been filed.
Have you ever experienced the following situations?
Individual vs. Contractor
- You hire a contractor to work at your home and they leave the house a mess. They had mud on their shoes, didn't clean up their trash, smoked in your home when you weren't looking, spilled something on your carpet, etc.
- You hired a painter who said he was going to use the best paint available and apply two coats of it to your home. He may have shown up with the best paint, but he watered it down and only applied one coat.
- You hire an electrician to install a ceiling fan and once he has left, you now have various problems with other outlets you have never experienced before. When you try and reach the electrician to have him return and fix the additional problems, he refuses to call you back.
- You want to remodel your kitchen. The company you called gives you a price you feel is reasonable. When the kitchen is completed, you realize they have left out important pieces to complete this room. Upon asking, you are told all of these things are “extra”, such as handles on the doors, a faucet for the sink, etc.
- You have a problem with your air conditioner. The company came out and said it was low on freon. He filled the unit and billed you appropriately. A month later, you had a problem obtaining cold air so you called him back out. He stated that there was a leak, which he hadn't caught the first time. He then bills you for this additional house call when the problem should have been corrected upon his first visit.
Contractors/Business Owners vs. Individuals
- Have you ever done work for someone who was cheap, always complained, never wants to pay, always looking for discounts?
- Have you worked for someone and while you are at their house they blame you for everything they can, things that were broken before you got there but say you did it?
- Have you been hired to do work at someones home and when you show up, they are not there as scheduled?
- Have you completed a job for someone and they are not home to pay, or their significant other has the checkbook?
- Have you been hired to do a job, but, as the job is completed the homeowner changes their mind and wants things re-done at your expense?
- Have you ever hired an employee who purposefully fakes injuries to claim workman's compensation?
Miscellaneous Examples of Situations We Face Everyday
- Your lawn company damages your yard and ruins your sprinklers.
- The babysitter who talks on the phone and doesn't watch the kids.
- The dry cleaner ruined your favorite outfit and refused to pay for damages.
- The house cleaner steals from you.
- The police officer was unnecessarily aggressive and verbally abusive.
- The teacher your child has that refuses to ever answer a question.
- The coach who only gives his kid special treatment over the others.
We hope the site will provide you with enough information so that you will be informed the next time, you deal with an individual or a business.
